Story

I have signed up to take part in a Sahara Trek to support St Michael's Hospice in memory of my mother-in-law. We lost Celia in the summer of 2021. Celia had "hospice at home" care meaning she was able to be cared for at home without admission into the hospice. Our family felt everybody we had contact with from the hospice were so lovely, caring and always had time for us. The hospice has since continued to support the whole family.

Celia is so terribly missed and losing her has left such a hole in our lives. Whilst nothing can bring her back, I'm supporting the hospice to help them continue to provide to others the amazing care Celia received.

I hope you will support me in reaching my goal, every donation counts, no matter how big or small, your support is greatly appreciated.

This trek in the Moroccan Sahara gives an insight into this vast and diverse landscape as well as the Berber way of life. The trek will see days spent trekking across ancient dried up river beds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains and camping each night gives a chance to experience the stunning stars in the night sky. The traditional Berber cuisine cooked by the team is second to none.
