Story
On the 22nd October 2016, my brother in law, Josh Stanton, lost his battle with a brain tumour at only 42. I am running the 2021 London marathon in memory of Josh and to raise awareness of the importance of research into this devastating disease. The more research, the higher the chance of finding a cure, so no one has to go through the pain of what my family have been through & it stops taking so many lives of people of all ages. I will pull on absolutely everything I have to get through the race & raise as much as I possibly can, so I appreciate your generosity and support.
I’ll be challenging myself in a number of ways in the lead up to the big day in Oct 2021, so keep an eye on my page for further details and regular updates!
Brain Tumour research is a fantastic charity that is dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and are a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.
