I've joined #TeamStOswalds in 2022 for the largest half-marathon in the world followed by the renowned London Marathon with my partner Michael.
I have a strong connection to the Hospice as they cared for my dad during Covid when my dad's cancer become more severe and treatments were delayed. Dad was able to build up his strength at the hospice, and we were lucky enough to visit him daily during the lockdown. After a short period, he was able to come home and the hospice provided his care plan and support for mam and I. Sadly, my dad passed away on September 5th 2020 at home with his family.
My dad was an inspiration, he was always so positive and strong for me and my mam. Although it was an extremely difficult time, the hospice allowed us to create some amazing memories together as a family.
The St. Oswald's team were amazing and I will never forget their dedication and kindness during this time. So, I want to give back in every way I can! I am committing to raise a minimum of £2,350 towards the work of the Hospice. If you can spare any change and donate to such an amazing cause that would be amazing.
Thank you x
