We skill South African health professionals to care for HIV children & adolescents

Story

We have expanded our programme from KwaZulu Natal into the Eastern Cape and North West Province. So far this year, we have more than 100 volunteers standing by, committed to at least 50 working weeks. All donations go directly to covering their flight and accommodation costs.
We've made great progress so far. But there's an enormous amount still to do. And we really need to move fast. With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we will continue to save the lives of the youngest victims of the AIDS epidemic.

CHIVA Africa sends volunteer teams of doctors, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists and psychologists to South Africa to provide mentoring and training to local healthcare professionals. Over the years, our teams have helped South Africa’s doctors and nurses in the worst hit areas develop the practical skills they need to manage HIV as a chronic illness (not a death sentence) in pregnant woman, children and adolescents.
