Story
ORWC member, Chris Quirk, won his battle with cancer in 2022. However, his overwhelming emotion after undergoing successful radiotherapy was not one of relief. He was struck by the fact that children as young as his own daughter were undergoing the same intensive therapy as himself but without any extra preparation and on wards that were not designed for children. It just seemed so unfair.
After spending 2022 on a personal fund raising mission, Chris has now enlisted the support of his friends to help raise money for Children with Cancer UK. Throughout 2023 and 2024 the ORWC members will take part in personal and group fundraising exploits and events, and we need YOUR help.
Below is the list of activities we have planned for 2024, and if you wish to sign up to any of our events, you can do so here: https://www.orwc.co.uk/events
