Story
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service are constantly involved with many events, partnerships and organisations in order to raise money for a variety of charities.
Chichester fire station's A watch have decided to now step up and are asking for donations to support the Movember charity by raising awareness for young men as they are all facing a health crisis that isn't being talked about.
The Movember foundation are the only charity tackling men's health year round on a global scale, and are addressing many of the biggest health issues faced by men: Prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues and suicide prevention. However they are independent of government funding, so rely on donations to keep the charity moving. In the last 13 years they have funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world.
Young men are dying too young... On average six years earlier then women. We are taking action and have decided to attempt growing our moustache's as it was an old tradition among fire fighters.
By 2030 the Movember foundation will reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%.
We will of course be giving updates throughout the month and before and after photos!
