Fundraising for Stroke Association
Several members of my family have experienced the devastation that a stroke can cause. The lives of my grandfather and my mother changed drastically when they suffered from a stroke.
You see, when stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. Your confidence and belief in getting back to normal can quickly erode. That's why it's so important for those affected to get as much support as they can.
My 6- and 8-year-old have been growing their hair for years, with the intention of donating it to the Princess Trust - where the hair can be made into wigs for cancer patients.
I decided to be bold and join them in their haircut on the 11th January 2022. And we decided that it'd be good to raise money for another charity in addition to donating our hair to the Princess Trust.
The Stroke Association immediately came to mind. Their specialist support, research and campaigning provide the stroke community with the courage and determination to get better and feel better. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
