I am doing a sponsored skydive on 2nd May to raise funds for Cancer Research UK's research into the causes and treatment of oesophageal cancer. This is one of the most difficult to detect cancers, meaning it is rarely caught early. For many, it only shows symptoms in the advanced stages. This means it is often fatal.

This cause is very close to my heart as my family is currently going through the pain of seeing someone we love suffering with this awful disease. By the time we knew what was happening there was nothing to be done, which is why I am so keen to support research that will improve detection and treatment of oesophageal cancer.
