DHCT provides grants exceeding £100,000 per year to maintain our beautiful churches of all denominations across Dorset. Our annual fundraiser sees our supporters securing sponsorship to ride, or walk to visit a selection of these superb buildings.

Story

The Friends of Chetnole- St Peter's are supporting Ride+Stride. This is an annual event during which our supporters raise money for DHCT and for their own church by riding, cycling or walking between our beautiful and interesting churches and chapels. DHCT uses half the money raised (£112,528 in 2020) to fund vital repairs to roofs, windows and fabric while the other half is returned to nominated churches to help with their own maintenance. Not only does the event help secure the future of these buildings for their communities but you see some stunning countryside and often meet people with interesting stories or facts about their local area and Church building
