Story

I have set up this page in memory of the most amazing person I have ever met in my life. Not one in a million but one on his own.. The best fiance, dad, son, brother and friend anyone could ever have asked for..

Sadly, Dan was taken from us peacefully in his sleep on 9th June 2012 at around 3.20am.

We were due to marry on 7th October 2012.

This is a segment from his speech he had started to write.. I love "our story" so much I will share his version with this page..

.. I think back over the last 2 years and they have been some of the best of my life. I know that you love “our story” so thought I would share it with the room.  We started working together in 2010 and one Saturday in our predominantly male office you decided to make it clear you would not be using the kitchen in fear of catching something as it looked like the kitchen from men behaving badly. As the manager in that day I neglected my duties of drumming up business and spent a fair few hours tidying up a kitchen the size of a shoe box so you didn’t feel like this (I am not the tidiest of people, as you may of since found out but if you would like confirmation of this simply speak to my mother).  Soooo impressed were you with this you plied me with a fresh cream cake each day for about 3 weeks.. well you know the saying about a way to a mans heart!! After the cakes you tried everything in your power to get me to come out on 24 September 2010 for your friends birthday. After much persuasion me and Paul met you down the firkin and we have been in-separable ever since. Waking up the following morning after various shots on your sofa with a 6’3” VJay looming over me at 8am when I had to meet the boys at Romford at 10am to watch Spurs lose to West Ham was not ideal, although I’d rather that than the questioning you probably got from Vjay about some random man on your sofa.

Now my amazing fiance has gone to meet my dad and I will do all I can to keep them both alive here, as long as I hold them both within my heart they will always be with me.

I will forever be Dans 'silly ole Doris'

A charity football match is taking place on Sunday 29th July 2012 at White Notley Football Club, kick off 2pm in aid of the Essex Air Ambulance..  Sadly, Dan will not be here to go so we are using this as an opportunity to remember Dan and raise money for a very worthy cause.  This charity has a special place in my heart as my dad raised lot of money for the charity when he was alive.

So, if you're coming to the game or not please dig deep and give to the Essex Air Ambulance, a charity that relies solely on our generosity and help me remember the 2 most amazing men I had in my life and now keep in my heart forever xxx
