I am raising money for Adoption UK because I know so many people whose lives have been touched by adoption, whether as adoptees or adopters. I think it is so much better for children to grow up in a warm and loving family setting where possible, rather than in state institutions. Adoption UK help ease the transition for both adopted children and adoptive parents, to increase the likelihood that adoptions are successful. In human relationships, love can be a far stronger bond than blood. 

I will be running the Half Marathon in honour of one very special adopted little girl, Izzy Introne. With love.
