Story
My Sophie comes to me and says "Mummy how can we help Aunty Sheena? It's so unfair that the medicine she has to have makes her even more poorly"
So we got thinking....
I remember that day so clearly. Sat in a tiny room, with a nurse and consultant. Waiting. Waiting. And then those words are said "you have got hodgkins lymphoma . It's a type of blood cancer". Your world just tumbles down around you. And they haven't even said it to me, so how my little sister must be feeling, I can't even imagaine.
That's where our battle started and 10months later we are still fighting. Sheena is an inspiration to myself. She has had everything possible thrown at her along the way and she just keeps on fighting. I love her dearly.
It is so hard to watch a loved one go through something that you can't help them with.
It's so hard to tell your own children that the next time they see Aunty Sheena she will have no hair.
It's so hard getting the phone call for the third time to say your little sister has been rushed into hospital again with Sepsis.
It's all just so unfair. Cancer has hit so many people around us in this last year, it's unbelievable.
So Sophie (and mummy) are raising money to raise awareness of blood cancer (Sheena was back and forth for numerous tests/scans for 7 months before she was diagnosed).
Every 27 minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. So we will be doing things 27 times for 27 days.
Sophie said when we were talking about it "They have to be hard things Mummy because it's hard when you have cancer."
So Sophie will be doing 27 star jumps, 27 sit ups and 27 runs, up and down the stairs every day for 27 days.
Please help my baby girl raise as much money as possible.
Keep strong, stay positive and continue fighting.
