Story
Myself And Becky whist on furlough are taking part in an A-May-Zing fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support this week. Starting Sunday 26 July, we will be traveling from Coppice Wood Farm in Stretford up to John O’ Groats and then down to Land’s End in just a Tuk Tuk. Our aim is to visit as many Greene King premises as possible, collecting donations and helping kick start Macmillan May now Macmillan May/September- Better late than never!
We will be collecting the much-needed donations in a safe socially distanced way from Greene King team members and generous customers, all for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan help people with every aspect of living with cancer, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond. The money raised will go on to help fund these vital Macmillan professionals, including the iconic Macmillan nurses up and down the country.
Covid-19 has decimated the funds of charities, many of whom have not only seen a huge drop in donations but have then seen an equally large increase in the need for services. Macmillan alone estimates a loss in revenue of around £80 million this year, putting key cancer services at risk just at the time when they are needed most.
💚 Thankyou so much for your support 💚
