I have recently started doing some voluntary work at Beechwood Cancer Care Centre in Stockport. It’s a remarkable organisation that provides help and support to patients, carers and family members of all ages who are affected by cancer or other life limiting illnesses.

It is really humbling to see the professionalism, care and dedication provided by the staff and helpers. I just hope I can contribute something to assist them – and hopefully you can too!

As you would expect, Beechwood relies on fundraising and donations for a large proportion of the finance necessary to provide the excellent service they offer. So I have decided, with some trepidation, to take on the huge challenge for me, on their behalf, of completing the BUPA Great Manchester 10km Run on Sunday 15^th May.

This will be my first run I have ever done! I am already training hard and ‘hopefully’ will be ready for the big day.

Please can I ask you to support me by donating as much as you can? It’s a wonderful cause.
