<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">I have recently started doing some voluntary work at Beechwood Cancer Care Centre in Stockport. It’s a remarkable organisation that provides help and support to patients, carers and family members of all ages who are affected by cancer or other life limiting illnesses. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">It is really humbling to see the professionalism, care and dedication provided by the staff and helpers. I just hope I can contribute something to assist them – and hopefully you can too!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">As you would expect, Beechwood relies on fundraising and donations for a large proportion of the finance necessary to provide the excellent service they offer. So I have decided, with some trepidation, to take on the huge challenge for me, on their behalf, of completing the BUPA Great Manchester 10km Run on Sunday 15<sup>th</sup> May. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">This will be my first run I have ever done! I am already training hard and ‘hopefully’ will be ready for the big day. </span></p>
