Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have signed up to the Wobbleberry challenge with my young mare, Cherish.

We bought Cherish as a yearling back in the Spring of 2014 with a view for her to enable my mum to get back in the saddle and plod around the village.

It became evident that Cherish was far from the short fat hairy cob we thought we were getting!  Although she does like to plod around the village sometimes was capable of much more. I backed her in the summer of 2016 under the watchful eye of my childhood instructor Nicky. She was turned away for the winter & slowly brought back into work Spring 2017.

Summer & Autumn 2017 brought a couple of yard moves but we are now settled at a lovely yard in West Wiltshire and Cherish is working well so with this in mind (and its good to have a future goal) signing up to the Wobbleberry Challenge and raise money for Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony along the way was the most natural next step.

I last completed a ODE 28 years ago in 1990 at Urchinwood Manor & haven't competed much since so not only will I be putting myself through the physical & mental challenges I'll be doing it on a young horse who so far hasn't set a hoof in a horse box, let alone attempted a small clear round or walk/trot dressage test!

I blog all of Cherish's (& mine) education on a blog - it would be great if you could follow our journey from our current stage to competing our first BE80 at West Wilts in 9 short months - (we're aiming for September 2018)!!
