Story

So in a moment of madness - as Stonehenge is one of my favorite places and our Dad was diagnosed with cognitive memory loss in 2014 and then in February 2019 he got diagnosed with Alzheimer's - I though I would sign up for Trek26 to raise money for the Alzheimer's society. It takes place on Saturday the 11th of September 2021 and is a 26 mile walk around  Stonehenge exploring the historic landscape dominated by the world-famous stone circle.

Dad has good and bad days and as a family, we all deal with his illness in our own way. Me personally, I try and see the humour in the things he says and does, but there are days I find it so overwhelming to deal with. Thankfully, we have great support from his Dementia nurse and he is still able to live independently with visits from careers three times a day at the moment..

I know this has been a tough year for everyone, but would really apricate any donations, no matter how small. All the money raised, will help fund research to find a cure for this horrendous life robbing disease.

Thanks for taking the time to read my story xx
