Story
CHELTENHAM DAME ROAD CYCLING CLUB
We are a women's cycling club in Cheltenham, launched in 2015, to make the sport more accessible for women, especially those who already own bikes but do not have the confidence to ride as part of a group.
In the club’s biggest ‘Team Dames’ event to date, 19 fantastic ladies have volunteered to ride the Velo Birmingham & Midlands 100 mile cycle challenge that will take them on an unforgettable journey through the West Midlands, including two major city centres, on Sunday 12 May 2019.
OUR PROJECT - GLOUCESTERSHIRE WHEELS FOR ALL
The club’s aim is to raise £1,500 for Gloucestershire Wheels for All, which is a nationally recognised programme that helps children and adults with disabilities and differing needs, to engage in a quality cycling activity.
By using specially adapted cycles, the activities are both physically and mentally stimulating and above all fun for everyone involved. Adults and children can take part – whether they have a sensory, physical or learning disability. The sessions are also great for those with mental health conditions, including dementia.
WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?
All donations will go to the Gloucestershire Wheels for All project.
Please donate to support our cause and help make a real difference to the lives of children and adults with disabilities. With your help, we can help them enjoy the sense of freedom that they can experience from getting on a bike.
