Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A group of four employees from The Jockey Club will be teaming up to take part in The Great Racing Welfare Cycle. Ella Jackson, Alastair Watson, Tommy Williams, and Paul Evans will be cycling a 30KM loop around Cheltenham for 24 hours to raise money for Racing Welfare.

Racing Welfare is a registered charity supporting the workforce of British horseracing. Racing Welfare offers professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable, and racecourse staff whose dedication is vital for the well-being of racing. Their work aims to help people, from recruitment to retirement, to thrive in day to day life and
through a range of life’s challenges.

Teams will start their challenge at 12 noon on the 16th July and leave the racecourse for an undulating, challenging, 30km, beautiful ride through the Cotswolds including climbing the imposing Cleeve Hill to enjoy the breath-taking views across Gloucestershire.  This challenge is based on a team of FOUR people, TWO will be out on the route cycling while TWO rest at the “Riders Camp” based at the racecourse.  The four riders will tag-team day and night for 24 hours finishing at noon on the 17th July, crossing the finishing line to the cheers of their friends and family.
