Story
In June 2013, Shirley was diagnosed with cancer. They don't know what caused it or where it started. But she spent 7 long weeks in hospital, came home for a few weeks then got rushed back into hospital. Two weeks later, the cancer had spread so much that she was transferred to St Michael's Hospice. There her condition deterioted dramatically, and four days later on the 16th September 2013, she took her final breath. Surrounded by all her loved ones. It shocked us all how suddenly it happened. She is missed more than words can ever describe and that is why we are running Race for Life. To try and help stop this happening to others. Help us beat this horrible disease! Less than 20 weeks was all it took. My nan also previously beat breast cancer back in 2002. Please donate to this wonderful charity!
