Story
Basically - we all know I'm a slug so the idea of me walking 25 miles is bound to get a laugh or 9.
My idea of doing my bit for charity is donating a tenner every month or 2 and having a warm fuzzy glow for all of 5 minutes. So; it's time to do a bit more....25 miles more. Mostly because a friend has coerced me into joining her for a 25 mile walk, but also because it's a great cause.
This years walk is inspired by Harry Moseley; a very brave 11 year old who passed away in October 2011 after being diagniosed with an inoperable brain tumour at the age of 7. Harry did a lot of fundraising for charity in the hope that he could help find a cure for brain cancer as he hated seeing people as ill as he was. For more information on this amazing little boy please visit the following website; http://www.helpharryhelpothers.com/
All money raised is donated to the brain tumour research project being led at Birmingham Children's Hospital and the refurbishment of Acorns Children's Hospice in Selly Oak.
Please donate what you can to support these great causes - and to give me one less thing to moan about to my poor, poor friends during the walk! Thanks in advance =)
