Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have set up this page to fundraise for Alder Heys children’s bereavement centre in memory of my son Jacob.

Jacob passed away at the age of 2 years and 8 months old from a virus called adenovirus. Jacob was born in may 2017 at 23 weeks, he fought for his life for 5 months. He went through so many battles but came out so strong and was able to go home and live a normal life. Jacob was such a happy bright little boy who never let anything get in his way, his smile light up every room he entered and was well known for his perfect smile. Jacob took ill towards the end of 2019. He was taken to hospital with what we thought was nothing, for then Jacob to be put to sleep to fight the virus which he fought for just under 3 weeks. But sadly he didn’t make it due to the virus attacking his premature lungs which lead to him passing away in January 2020. After Jacob passed he went on to stay at alder heys bereavement centre where they cared so much not only for Jacob but for us as a family, they looked after us all with so much care and love and Jacob always looked comfy and we was given the time we needed and wanted with him. The staff went above and beyond for us, always phoned to check up on me even after his funeral. They gave me memories I have been able to keep with me forever.

Therefore I’d like to give something back to them as a thank you for everything they did for us as a family and for Jacob.

I have a Facebook page called Fundraising in memory of Jacob Jack Morris if you have any questions feel free to message!!

We will be doing a walk from St Helens to Alder hey on 21st May 2023, at 10am. If anyone would like to join in please do send me an email chelseamurphy11@live.com anyone can join in with us!

I’d appreciate if you could spare even just a little bit, thankyou for reading.
