Story
Bryan has set himself three goals he wants to achieve in 2019;
1. To celebrate his 62nd birthday in November 2019. This may not sound such a great achievement but Bryan was not expected to live beyond his teenage years when born in 1957 with such a level of physical disability.
2. To complete the Manchester 10k run for the third time. Again, you may think this to be something anyone should be able to do with exception but when Bryan was born he was not able to access main stream education so has never took part in an individual or team sport event not even a school sports day. It was something Bryan always wanted to do as he is a big sports fan and big Manchester City supporter (don’t hold that against him!). On 19th May he will complete his third 10k run and he has the medals to prove it.
Finally, Bryan has set up a just giving page with his friends as he wants to raise money to replace the TV and sound system at Cheddle Lodge where he has lived for the past thirty years.
Bryan loves music and in particular heavy rock, he loves to not only hear the music but physically feel it as well. It is something he wants to improve as, to Bryan, he feels that fellow residents should feel and experience music in the same way. Replacing the TV and sound system would go a long way in achieving this. By raising money, this is Bryans way to say thanks for all the help and support given to him over the last 62 years by many, many people from health care professionals, family, carers and volunteers.
Team Cheddle will support Bryan achieve his first two goals of 2019 but he needs your help to achieve the third and final goal. Please donate to his just giving page and if you can, display the attached poster, send out this email or share the link to the just giving page.
Help Bryan achieve in 2019.
