Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Pupils from across Sutton have been working to make a tremendous positive impact on their communities throughout the challenges that 2020 and 2021 have brought. Together they have previously raised over £28,000 for local charities through various fundraising events. Many of the children wanted to thank their local hospitals, for their tireless work during the pandemic and were inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore.
On Friday 30th April, what would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101 birthday, all children at CCJ will take part in a sponsored physical activity involving the number 100! Pupils in Year 3 will try to complete 100 speed bounces, working in pairs. Year 4 will all attempt to complete a 100 skips and Year 5 are jumping 100m (in teams!!). Year 6 will be aiming to either walk or run 100 laps on the playground!
Money raised will go to a variety of local NHS charities that support health and wellbeing initiatives for the hardworking staff as well as funding vital equipment needed in both St Heliers hospital as well as at Epsom hospital. A just giving page has been set up and it would be great if you are able to support this event, even if it is a donation of £2 as an entrance fee. You can donate here:
Thank you for your support with all our events this year , I am sure the children will enjoy the activities and feel proud to follow in the footsteps of such a great role model.
