Millions of people wake up with arthritis every morning and face the day in pain, without the support and recognition they deserve. Arthritis attacks what it means to live and people with arthritis are often left to manage alone. 

More specifically I will be running for my mother who was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2019, she has faced many challenges during her time with the disease, and seeing these challenges firsthand that she faces daily, I decided I would give myself the challenge of running a marathon in support of her. Running a marathon doesn't compare to the challenges faced by people who suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis but it will definitely challenge me.
