Charmaine Jagger is raising money for Maggie's Centres
Story
Due some unforeseen problems with the original date of the abseil it sadly did not take place as planned. Part of me was disappointed and the other massively relieved!! Ultimately it means even more time for me to be nervous!!! It will now take place on the 7th May 2022!
As you all know I am not the kind of person to sail down the side of a building on a rope but I am absolutely determined to do it!
The Leadenhall building or Cheesegrater is one of London’s tallest skyscrapers, standing at 225 metres so It’s currently the tallest abseil in the UK so I am particularly excited at this prospect - gulp!
I am not expecting to raise lots but if anyone has any spare pennies it will all be going to Maggies Royal Marsden. I had a career change last year and now work for the wonderful charity Maggies. I feel very lucky to have been given this opportunity so would love to give something back to the centre so the support we offer everyday can continue.
Maggie's centres are a network of drop-in centres, which aim to help anyone who has been affected by cancer. They provide a caring environment that can provide support, information and practical advice.
