Story
I am raising money for Derian house in memory of Jaime Ella Howarth; I am doing this by running the sheffield 10k……
Jaime Ella’s story started when she was three years old, after being admitted to hospital for an ear infection which did not improve she was sent for further tests at Manchester Children’s Hospital. where Jaime and her mum Terri were told the devastating news that Jaime had a rare inoperable brain tumour (Brain Stem Glioma).
Jaime was a dancing, singing princess mad four year old, she had been due to have her wish come true of being a Disney princess by visit Euro Disney. Everyone helped raise money for the trip but heartbreakingly she was too ill to make it.
Terri Described Jaime…“Despite her illness she was a true performer and always had everyone smiling. Jaime never dwelled on how poorly she was and always kept going”
When Jaime’s condition became worse before she was due to go to Disney Land she went to Derian House children’s hospice. There Terri was able to receive help and support in caring for Jaime. Jaime Died in Terri’s arms in the 18 October 2011, 10 months after being diagnosed.
I would be very grateful if you would all dig deep and help me raise £500 towards Derian House this will enable them to provide the care and support for other families.
Thank You Charmaine
