Cancer is something that has affected us as a group in one way or the other over the years and most recently when we found out our beautiful friend Charlotte has breast cancer. Having just turned 40, this was not the start to her fabulous 40s that she was expecting! 

Charlotte is one of the strongest women I know and since being diagnosed back in Jan 19 she has faced it head on. As a friend you can only be there to support, to listen, to lend a shoulder and to provide the nibbles and giggles when chemo day comes. 

As a group of friends we wanted to do more and this is where the story begins! With the idea of doing something for charity in Charlotte’s name and to raise funds for the local breast cancer unit at Nottingham City Hospital, we set off to organise a day we won’t forget. 

We will be walking approx 12miles through local Nottinghamshire villages starting off in Lowdham, through to Gunthorpe, into Hoveringham and onto Gonalston, through Epperstone, Woodborough and finish back in Calverton at the Admiral Rodney 👍🏻

At the Admiral Rodney we will then (while having a well deserved G&T) get set to raise more pennies with an auction and raffle. We are building up an amazing list of prizes with local businesses and friends being very generous!
