Story
My name is Charlotte and I am 9 years old. Last year I walked a marathon over 5 days to raise money for the Isle of Wight Cats protection and raised over £1000 for them. This year I have been working out what I can do and I want to attempt to cycle 26.2 miles (a whole marathon) in 1 day to make the challenge harder and bring in some money for our local cats who I live round the corner from. I plan to start at Sandown next Sunday 03/07/22 (Subject to the weather being ok, otherwise it will be moved to the closest other day with good weather) and cycle to Cowes and back with my mummy, daddy and older brother Daniel. I will keep my progress up to date on here.
I absolutely love animals and have chosen the Isle of Wight cats protection because I live just round the corner from them and our cats came from there. I want to help make sure that they have enough money to feed the cats and pay for the vet treatments to keep them healthy.
Everyone was so kind last year in helping me smash my target of £100 and I hope everyone will support me this year. This is a big deal to me, I am autistic and suffer from anxiety, so going out is a big thing! I attend St Catherine's Special Needs school in Ventnor (I tried to add them as a charity too but Justgiving only lets you pick one now :( so I picked cats as they are my favourite).
Thank you for supporting me xx
