East Cheshire Hospice provides essential care, support and compassion to local adults facing life limiting illnesses. We rely on fundraising to pay for over 80% of our daily costs, and so you can be sure your support will make a huge difference to our patients, their families and loved ones.

Story

The Inpatient Unit & Hospice @ Home team at East Cheshire Hospice support patients & their families throughout the East Cheshire area needing specialist palliative & end of life nursing care.

The hospice is a charity & only receives small amount of government funding. During the pandemic many fundraising events were cancelled & therefore had a huge effect on much needed donations.

It is my honour to work at the hospice & to take part in the Hospice to Hospice Marathon Hike.

I have been witness to many many of the most humbling & defining moments most people experience a couple or handful times in a lifetime.

We as a team have wiped away rivers of tears, held frightened hands, laughed a LOT & faced on countless of occasions, humanity in its most vulnerable & fragile state.

I wouldn’t change a single day.

In true despair can be found true joy!

Please consider showing your support to the hospice by donating to my fundraising event.
