Story
Over 5 days at the beginning of June I'll be cycling from Cardiff to London to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society who champion the rights of people with dementia. Dementia is the slow failure of the brain and symptoms include memory loss, mood changes and communication problems - which affects everyone that know's the sufferer. I feel previliged to know so many intelligent and articulate people and would hate to think of any of them being affected in later life by this distressing disease so will be raising money to support them in their campaign and pursue their ultimate goal of finding a cure.
Having moved to Wales in September last year, I've been trying to convince everyone that it's really not that far!! - so to prove it I'll be cycling 330 miles over 5 days via a few KPMG offices on the way. Starting on Sat 5 June in Cardiff, I'll be spending 5 days pedalling my heart out to finish in London on Wed 9 June. I'll also be seeing if I can break the Guinness World record for the number of snickers bars eaten in the sortest time period ever. Please make a donation through this webpage to support me in raising funds for such an important charity. I'll also be accepting snickers bars donations in person (if you're really skint!). I've included the dates and distances below so you can see the extent of the journey. This is a huge challenge for me - I've had a couple of attempts already and have only managed 50 miles in one go with 3 days afterwards to recover...
Thank you for your support!
