Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page to sponsor me online for the Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride.
On 26 May the Big Battlefied Bike Ride departs for a tour of some of the most significant battlefield sites of both World Wars, including the D-Day landing beaches, Pegasus Bridge and the Somme. We will be cycling between 50 and 70 miles each day until our return to England, when the final leg of our journey takes us to Horseguards in central London. The entire trip will total some 350 miles of "undulating" French countryside.
Help for Heroes is raising money to provide a swimming pool and other desperately needed facilities to aid the rehabilitation of wounded servicemen at Headley Court.
Hopefully this ride will raise £1million after costs, which will be a major boost to the £5.5million Help for Heroes has already raised since last October. I think it is the most worthy of causes. I hope you do too.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Help for Heroes will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Very many thanks for your support.
