We campaign for rare & less common cancers to improve patient outcomes

Story

“Love the life you live. Louise Marshall”

In August 2021, I lost my dear friend  Louise. In her memory, I would like to raise funds for a charity close to her heart, Cancer52.

Lou was diagnosed with Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma, a rare stomach cancer that is hard to detect, with a poor prognosis. The condition does not have enough awareness, research, fundraising or specific patient support, and for this reason I would like to raise funds for Cancer52 that covers rare diseases and raising funds for research and support.

Lou’s motto was to ‘love the life you live’ - she lived and loved her life and those closest to her wholeheartedly. Even during the most challenging times of her cancer diagnosis and treatment, she remained positive, busy and kept active with running and pole dancing.

In Lou’s memory myself and Elsa will be running the Peterborough Great Eastern 5km along with Lou’s husband Chris and 9yr old son Henry.
