Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On Saturday 9th August I will be taking part in the London Triathalon, doing the 'sprint' distance, which is half an Olympic triathalon. I will be swimming 750m in the Thames (yum), then cycling 20K and running 5K (well, maybe breaking into a light trot) around Docklands. I agreed to do this with a friend at work back in April and it seemed like a really good idea at the time...here we are at our swim training day attempting to look like menacing triathletes - it's a pretty fetching look, as I'm sure you'll agree.
I am doing this in aid of Heart Research UK. As many of you will know, my father suffered from heart problems for many years and died in 1996, which is why I have chosen to raise money for this fantastic charity in his memory.
There will probably be a lot of wheezing and a lot of swearing (it will not be a pretty sight!) but feel free to come and watch/laugh/cheer me on - my race starts at 5pm.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Heart Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many thanks for your support,
Charlotte x
