Story
A very close friend of mine Lissie was diagnosed at the age of 17 with a glioma, a type of brain tumour. Lissie is now focusing on raising as much money as possible for her chosen charities, so her friends and family are doing a range of different challenges to try and achieve this.
So I have entered the Great North Swim in June which involves swimming in Lake Windermere. After applying for the event, I realised that I have never actually done any Open Water Swimming before and I don’t think paddling in the Sea in Spain counts. I also realised that I have less than three months to train for this. So please support the brilliant cause not only to see me swim in such cold temperatures but also because it’s for a charity that is so close to my heart. The Brain Tumour charity is the only National Charity that is making a difference every day to those who have brain tumours. Please help us raise awareness and make a difference!
Come on Team Lissie!
