Story
Hi everyone, for those of you who don’t know I have been diagnosed with a non-malignant brain tumour called an acoustic neuroma. Mine is classed as large and I have no choice but to let them operate as it is pushing into my brain stem.
I am losing my hearing in my left ear, have constant tinnitus and my balance is off.
So before I undergo 12 hour brain surgery and a few months recuperation, I'm taking on this brand-new challenge for Brain Tumour Research and will be walking a distance of 200k in May to raise vital funds and awareness to help find a cure for all brain tumours. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other tumour and have a life altering impact on survivors. Just 1% of the national spend on medical research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
If you can spare anything to help raise funds it will be massively appreciated, and if anyone fancies a walk just let me know! Xx
