Story
Symptoms of endometriosis began to surface when I was in 8th grade. By 10th grade I was spending most days curled up in bed with debilitating stomach and back pain. By the time I got to 11th grade I was vomiting almost daily and missing so much school, I had to be placed on home instruction.
After a litany of doctors who insisted nothing was wrong, I found Dr. Seckin who discovered my appendix was affected by endo and needed to be removed. I am still dealing with the psychological impacts of this journey, but I consider myself lucky to have found it early.
