Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I'd like you to donate but also take a moment to think about what each day is like for someone with Autism and Asperger's.

  • Imagine not being able to identify the facial expression of the person talking to you. How do you respond to the words they have said? Will my response make them angry or disappointed?
  • Imagine feeling physical pain when someone hugs you but still wanting to reciprocate the affection.
  • Imagine sitting an examination but not being able to write a word because every time you hear a small noise like paper being turned over you are completely distracted by it.
  • Imagine having a high IQ but no one will employ you because they don't understand what Autism is.
  • Imagine having a disability that no one can see and having to pretend that everything is OK to conform to societies expectations.

These are real examples from friends and family each on the Autistic Spectrum.

Everyone on the Autistic Spectrum is different and has different needs.
