Story

In 1996 my beautiful sister Natalie died of Meningitis aged just 14. She was loved by many, a truly special person who I miss everyday. She was my big sister, my friend and my hero. I always looked up to her and I still do.

After we lost Natalie my mum went on to raise £140,000 for Meningitis in hope that we could stop this happening to any other family. Sadly 3 years ago my beautiful mum passed away.

I was suppose to run this marathon in 2022 but fell pregnant with my beautiful second daughter.. ironically during this time I too got meningitis.. I was very poorly in hospital but thanks to the NHS myself and my daughter survived..

My uncle has raised money doing this marathon and my Dad did a skydive, now it's my turn! Eek! I will be running the London Marathon 2024 in memory of both my mum and my sister and my target is to raise more than £3000 which is what my uncle raised when he did it years ago.

Please donate any amount that you can in the loving memory of two very special people, and to help prevent any other family going through this heartache. 🙏🏻

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
