Hello, my name is Charlotte and I am fundraising for the Alcohol Change UK charity. I lost my dad recently this year as a result of his alcohol addiction. Sadly 1 in 5 children grow up with an alcoholic parent and 20 people in the UK die a day from alcohol. 

I am doing a charity skydive on the 23rd of September for this chosen charity as I want to raise awareness of this disease and hopefully help prevent another family losing someone needlessly to this horrible illness. I want to raise awareness to try and remove the stigma that comes with being an alcoholic. My Dad was a good man but sadly alcohol took over his life in many different ways, that in the end he was unable to be the man he wanted to be. 

I want to encourage people to speak out about their mental health and get the support needed to prevent addictions occurring. We need more research and greater awareness of the illness to support those suffering as a result of it. I am doing this for anyone who has been affected by an alcohol dependency.
