On the 25th of January 2012 I will be taking part in raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer by taking to the skies and doing a crazy Tandem skydive. My Mum recently suffered from Breast cancer herself, luckily enough her condition was spotted early and the cancer was able to be treated through operation.

 

 

However with Breast Cancer now the most common form of cancer there is are many others who sadly die from this horrible condition. Around 12,000 women and 70 men died from breast cancer in year 2008. Raising money we can help diagnose early enough to help both men and women by introducing more screening tests and recognizing early symptoms. 

 

I can’t even begin to imagine what it would have been like if I would have lost my mum, but we are so lucky that she has much more time. However I know that lots of people do lose loved ones and my aim is to raise as much money to help prevent this as much as possible!
