Story

On the 9th December 2018 my close friend Quinn took her own life. This was devastating to so many people including myself. After this, Tracey and Dave her parents, and her brother Dyllon had set up a non-profit charity called Quinns Retreat to help families who have suffered bereavement due to suicide from loved ones.

Shortly after the loss of Quinn, her brother Dyllon had also took his life which was a tragedy. The charity Quinns retreat has fundraised for two retreat caravans which gives people time to help through the grieving process and have time together.

This year I am running the Great North Run on the 10th September for the first time to support this amazing charity and hopefully raise my target of £350. I am in no way a runner, and I absolutely hate running, but this is a cause that is personal to me and I want to do whatever I can to help tell Quinn and Dyllons story, and to help Tracey and Dave as much as possible for this incredible cause.

Since January, I have been running regularly and have found it’s more difficult than it seems! I’m determined to keep going and stay focused for the big day. Any donations would be appreciated and I will update as regularly as possible to keep everyone up to date on the journey.

Love you lots Quinny x
