Karen was not only James mum she was a very dear and close friend to us all,  Karen sadly passed away last year, a day after her 51st birthday, after an 11 year brave battle with cancer. In 2008, along with several friends did this same walk with Karen.  She did so well that day considering how ill she was. She managed to complete the 22Km despite being in pain.

This year on Sunday May 12th it will be the 1st anniversary of Karen’s passing so it seems fitting that we do this walk again. This time without Karen, although she will be there with us in spirit.  Farleigh hospice relies on walkers raising as much money as possible to help care for local people affected by life limiting illnesses. Farleigh helped Karen and her family so much over the years and Karen would often say that she didn’t know what she would do without the help and support they gave her.
