Story
I am running the Great North Run and the Yorkshire Marathon for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, in memory of my amazing friend, Nicholas Rhodes
Nicholas was my best friend in Primary School and such a kind, caring, funny and positive person. He sadly died from Leukaemia (Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma) at the age of 12. He would always be looking out for others and I’ll never forget how kind he was when I first moved to Shropshire, and had to move house and school at the same time.
I am 30 this year and Nicholas would have also been 30 too. I feel as though this is a great way to remember such an amazing person and I know he’ll be with me all the way, especially when it gets tough
I have lived and worked in the North East for over 10 years. I have worked at Newcastle Hospitals for 6 and a half years now (just over 4 years on ICU at Freeman) The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation funds projects within the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that directly benefit cancer patients, such from across north east England and Cumbria.
