Story

I will be running the 2019 Virgin London Marathon for Brain Tumour Research and in memory of my beautiful sister in law Sarah Price. We sadly lost Sarah in January 2015 after it was discovered too late that she had a very large and devastating brain tumour - Glioma Multiforme. Sarah received emergency surgery at St George’s Hospital, London on New Year's Eve 2014 to remove as much of the tumour as possible but sadly she did not wake up from this and just three weeks later passed away at the Princess Alice Hospice, Esher, aged 40 years old.

Sarah was a wonderful mother to 3 year old daughter Samara who we have watched grow and flourish into a wonderful little girl under the amazing care of my other sister in law Emma. We would not wish what happened to Sarah on anyone else and therefore contributions however big or small to this amazing charity who continue to fund research into the many different brain tumours would be so gratefully received. I feel very passionately about funding research into earlier diagnosis and I hope I can help spread the word through my marathon fundraising and help avoid other families go through such tragedy.

This will be my first full marathon and training will be tough Every little helps towards my fundraising goals. Thank you so much!

Charlotte xx

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
