We help premature and sick babies in the UK to give every baby the best possible future
Story
This September will be the first anniversary of my Mum's death and also my Son Freddie's (pretty traumatic) birth. Mum died from pancreatic cancer on 7th September and then Freddie was born a few days later, unable to breathe and reliant on intensive care. I want to try and mark this difficult anniversary positively, so I'm going to complete the Great North Run this September for TWO charities: Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund and Bliss (see linked page to support PCRF too). Pancreatic cancer is insidiously aggressive and by far the most difficult to diagnose and treat. The survival rate for pancreatic cancer is only 3% and this hasn't improved in 40 years. More research is needed to give hope to those who get this terrible diagnosis. As to my support of Bliss, my baby would have died the same month as Mum if it hadn't been for the incredible intensive care he received-please see linked page to support this too. I'll find this run tough, emotionally and physically! Please support me. Please remember Mum's dignified fight against cancer and Freddie's fight for his life last September. Please support both these wonderful charities and sponsor me. I want to raise a lot of money so please share this with your friends for their support too. Thank you.

Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.
