Story
Anton was A young British soldier killed alongside five comrades in Afghanistan Gemma and Charlotte want honour the memory of Gemma’s fallen brother. He was a legend to us and to all who knew him and we know he will be watching over us when we do the sky dive and laughing at his sister as she is petrified of heights. It will be a day of emotion as it will be Anton’s 22 birthday; the girls have decided to celebrate in style for him.
In remembrance of ‘Anton’ Frampton his sister (Gemma) and friend (Charlotte) take on a lifelong fear of heights; not only heights but jumping out of a plane. The two girls will be jumping on Anton’s 22 birthday 3 June 2013 to raise money for SSAFA.
The girls chose this charity to give them something back from all the support they have given Gemma’s family over the past couple of months and is a true charity close to the heart.
The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen & Families Association – Forces Help is the UK’s oldest armed forces charity. For over 125 years they have been providing practical help and assistance to anyone who is or has ever been in the armed forces. Each year, trained staff and a network of 7,500 volunteers provide practical support and assistance to more than 50,000 people, from D-Day veterans to young soldiers wounded in Afghanistan. Here are three ways that SSAFA Forces Help can help you:
1. They can give you practical support
2. They can help you with financial difficulties
3. They can give you emotional support with social and family issues.
All money raised WILL go to the charity as the girls have decided to pay for the skydive out of their own pockets meaning more money goes to the charity. Please contribute in any way you can, every penny raised makes a difference to one person’s family.
