Story
CB and CK are showing our support for the #CBITlockdownchallenge, by both committing to complete at least 30 minutes of exercise a day for a 28 day period - 1 day for each day of the 28 days of the English lockdown 2.
** TO NOTE - as we joined the challenge after the first day of lockdown, we are running behind the set ‘lockdown’ dates that the challenge was originally set to run between. Regardless of this, we want to join in with the challenge to support this fantastic charity - and therefore will complete 28 consecutive days of exercise in a row from a slightly later start date in support of the same 💪🏼 **
Any donations that you could give to help support the charity and enable them to carry on providing the amazing help and support to children and their families affected by a brain injury would be hugely appreciated, by us and more importantly, by the amazing charity that is CBIT.
We are both solicitors working in the Catastrophic Injuries team at JMW Solicitors, and therefore we regularly work with clients who have sustained brain injuries as a result of accidents that they have been involved in. We therefore see on a regular basis the huge impact that suffering an injury of this type can have on the client themselves and their families.
Through working on these cases, we also can see the fantastic work that the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) carry out, and the positive impact that it has on families affected by brain injury. CBIT provides help and support to the affected child and their family, as well as other individuals connected to the child such as friends, placement providers, schools etc.
This year has been a difficult one for many people for a whole range of reasons. The impact on charities such as CBIT has been huge. We ourselves usually attend a number of fundraising events throughout the year to help raise money for this charity, but due to social distancing measures in place, this year this hasn't been possible. By taking part in this challenge, and gaining sponsorship for the same, we hope to be able to continue to provide our support to the charity and enable them to carry on providing their support to those who need it.
Thank you!
