Kilimanjaro Trek 2015

Bath University Kilimanjaro Trek 2015 · 8 June 2015 ·
Basically I have this crazy idea that I can climb a Mountain. Me; someone who has only struggled up Bathwick Hill once since arriving here in September will be climbing nearly 6000m to the highest point in Africa. But that's the plan and I appreciate all the support I can get, after all it's for such a good cause.
The Children's Society is a charity which up until recently I had never even heard of and I bet you hadn't either, yet they do unbelievable work to support children in the UK. Did you know there are over 3.7 million children living in poverty in the UK? Children who, unlike you and I, cannot afford a hot dinner or a new pair of shoes. Children who have had to suffer years of abuse from parents. Children who were forced to live on the streets in order to avoid mistreatment from their carers. They defend, safeguard and protect the childhood of all children and young people throughout the UK and by donating, so can you.
£5 can pay for a hot meal for a neglected Child.
£10 will pay for a phone card for a young runaway to use to contact project workers when they're in danger.
£20 can pay for a mediation session to resolve conflicts between a runaway and their carers .
