Story
Earlier this year, as some of you know, I was the victim of an unprovoked attack which left my confidence knocked, both in myself and other people. I went from being my usual outgoing, sociable, trusting self to being worried to leave the house by myself, being jumpy about small things and not trusting people I didn't know. Luckily it didn't take me too long to get back to my usual self, but in those few weeks after the attack I would definitely have benifited from a service like Victim Support, who give free and confidential help to victims of crime, witnesses, their family and anyone else affected nationwide. This is such an important charity to support. I was lucky - I bounced back pretty quickly from my attack, but not everyone does. Some people are left permanantly scarred, and without charities like Victim Support would be left feeling lost and scared and alone.
Every contribution to Victim Support can make a huge difference:
£10 could pay for them to give a burglary victim information about securing their home for the future.
£25 could help them to support a young victim of bullying or harassment.
£50 could help meet a volunteer's expenses while they support a victim of domestic violence.
£200 could assist them in giving support to a child witness before, during and after a trial.
£500 could help them give ongoing support to a family recently bereaved due to a violent crime.
No matter how big or small your donation, it will make a real difference to the work they do supporting victims and witnesses. Please give what you can.
