Story
Hi everyone, I am going to Uganda for 3 weeks for my midwifery elective to complete my second year of training. I've self-funded this trip but I am trying to raise £500 for the charity I am working with. They do absolutely amazing work in Kamuli, one of the poorest areas.
I will be working at Maria's Care, a school for 450 children, and the Kamuli Mission Hospital. This is an amazing opportunity for me to experience third world midwifery and I hope that I can help to educate and assist the midwives to provide safe care for women and babies.
I will be working with the charity to decide where your donations are going once I’m out there. Donations will either be going to Maria’s Care for necessities like equipment, building work etc. or to Kamuli Mission Hospital for medical supplies or treatment for those who can’t afford it. Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
